Supporting St Mary and St Eanswythe’s Church

We’re always hugely grateful for all the support we receive, both volunteer hours and financial resources. Our church life costs approximately £1500 a week to run (not including special projects like Eanswythe Found or major building repairs) but it also needs more than just finance!

Financial support

If you’re able to offer even a little bit of financial support towards our work and ministry, we’d be hugely grateful!

One off donations can be made here: https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/donors/find-your-parish/folkestone-ss-mary-eanswythe-kent/

Those donating from outside the UK may find it best to use our quick donation platform which accepts major credit cards plus Apple and Google Pay: Donate

Regular Giving

You can also set up a regular donation with the Parish Giving Scheme here: https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/donors/find-your-parish/folkestone-ss-mary-eanswythe-kent/

(If you choose this option, please consider a couple of things:
 1. Don’t choose the ‘anonymous’ option so we’re able to thank you from time to time!
 2. Agreeing to the ‘annual inflationary increase’ option to help us keep track with inflation-related costs.)

Giving and the Christian Faith

We encourage regular financial giving as a key part of Christian faith and discipleship. St Paul reminds us to provide for the ‘needs of the saints’, in thankfulness to God, and that each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, ‘for God loves a cheerful giver’ (2 Corinthians 9).

We’ve created some resources to help people ponder this themselves. You can read more here: Generous Giving Booklet 2025

Remembering St Mary & St Eanswythe’s Church in your will

Your generosity could have a massive impact on future ministry here – even whilst you’re rejoicing on another shore! Our PCC Legacy Policy is available here: 2025 Legacy Policy, and you’re welcome to get in touch for more information or to discuss it further.

Friends of St Mary & St Eanswythe Church

The Friends group is a registered charity which exists to help support and enhance the fabric of the building and to celebrate its history and heritage and we’re hugely grateful for their partnership and support. You can find out more about their work here: https://friendsofstmaryandsteanswythe.org.uk/
